These contain the loose rulings for everything not otherwise stated in the Player Quickstart

Character Creation

  • Rather than choosing an ancestry as described in the Quickstart, pick any traits below the ancestries (e.g. Stout, Keen Senses, etc.) and either roll or choose for any one of the following for heritage
d10Heritage
1-6Human
7Half-Orc
8Larfolk
9-10Zhematy
  • Lawful and Chaotic are really mostly useful to priests and are not synonyms for good and evil, your deeds make your character.
  • If your character is lawful and follows a deity, you must follow Ilmater, the flesh-made-god of sacrifice, duty and justice that forms the basis of the Trinity, the major world religion in this setting.
  • If your character is neutral or chaotic and follows a deity, you can make up a deity that will be classed as heathen to the Trinitine orthodoxy, there are lots of small clandestine religious cults in the setting.
  • General society is largely suspicious of wizards (less so of priestly magic, see here), so anyone with a background in the arcane or occult may need to think about to whom they disclose their interests

Weapons

  • Spears are classed as reach weapons, meaning in tight formations they may be used to attack from behind other characters.
