The Trinity forms the major world religion in The Illuminated World. Adherents of The Trinity are known as Trinitines. Belief in the trinity consists of the belief in three gods, divided into positions known as Seats:

• Ilmater, the Seat of Worship
• Varda, the Seat of Testing
• Cold Light, the Seat of Observence
  Ilmater is considered the most important, and he is the one who is actually worshipped - it would be considered strange to worship Cold Light and a heresy for Varda.
