Orcism is an uncommon hereditary expression found only in humans. There is no accepted consensus as to how and why it happens, and why some families are more susceptible to birthing half-orcs, but theories including a line of demihuman that was somehow able to interbreed with humans, a divine gift, a latent variation intrinsic to humanity itself, among others.
