Formerly a Zhematy mushroom seller and mage from the Zhematy District who, along with her apprentice Derun, had been forced to take residence in the Sewers under Weaver's Row after her house was torched to the ground following an argument with a resident from Vilheim. Both swore revenge and Freya had hatched a plan to make the city pay for turning a blind eye to its treatment of the Zhematy. She and Derun had set to work on making a mushroom farm in the Lower Cisterns for income for Derun to sell topside as well as being ordered with carrying corpses found in the sewers for an unknown purpose.

Derun claimed to see Freya in a meditative state for long hours communing with something unseen until one day he returned to find her transformed into a horrific beast: she was grossly enlarged to 3 times her size and her head was now upside down containing a lamprey-like circular mouth.
