I could come up with some idea and lore about the Frosselanding. How big is the region? Is it big enough to have many peoples? I’m thinking of different factions under one culture that has various dividing beliefs.

Region is very big, yes. Trinitine beliefs are holding fast in the south, Northerners meanwhile keep to the classic belief systems, Storropgangers are strange folk who believe volcanoes are animals and believe gods speak through them.

I’m thinking of pirates of the carribean in regard of when they hold the pirate council, you have clan leaders which come together every x amount of time or event to discuss common goals and are forbidden to kill or invade one another under particular circumstances unless certain requirements are met, some are sworn enemies and some are deep allies with strong family ties but there is a plethera of different characters and personalities at the head of these clans which make up the faction as a whole.

Moots.

Same with simularities of the ‘pirate code’ which all clans must follow and are called to punish any clan who steps out of line of the code with every single clan being called to hand out punishment. So potientially if the code is broken to an extent, every clan is given the green light to wipe them off the map ‘The code’ isn’t so much to protect other outside groups from being raided and destroyed but to ensure protection of the clans from one another, to prevent in-fighting

‘The code’ could be called ‘The sacred rites’ or something like that The story behind the rites is as told, in earlier times, two brothers Ragnar and Halgar, which were both clan lords had a feud over one clan lady (Princess) called Agatha. They gathered clans on opposing sides and caused so much death and destruction that when Halgar killed Ragnar, he was so stricken with grief over the destruction him and his brother had caused, along with the death of his brother, that the rites had been created to prevent such things happening again. Not long after, Halgar walked off into the night and was never seen again, the grief too strong for him to bare. Now a rule in the rites is for a datter (princess) to be married to a sson (prince) in their childhoods, has to be from different clans. The seperation of a datter and sson can only happen under certain events.

Code is called Geotorgas.

Not sure where you wanted to go with the northlands lore-wise but spinning off my lore idea of warrior clans that collectively represent the culture or faction. All warriors and peasants alike swear oaths to their respective clans once they reach 18. Therefore basically owned by said clan which leads to a few rules and requirements to live by and a easy way to identify each other in the outside world. There are such peoples called oathless who has either ran from battle or left to make a new life, if they do not slash an X on their clan tattoo they are killed on sight or taken back for judgement of the clan. Those with a X on their clan tattoos are known as the oathless and looked down upon by all other Northmen who are sworn to a clan, or that’s the general vibe anyway.

I’m just brainstorming general ideas for Borca and had some inspiration from this video. Borca has a brother but they fell out a couple of years ago through choosing opposing sides. Whether we eventually end up there or not, his brother if met again should be on an opposing faction/group and they end up having to fight to which Borca will die (If hopefully he doesn’t die before that) and says his goodbyes to the party, having been glad to meet them. This will probably be after many sessions, just had to find a history for Borca. https://youtu.be/IEGBMQca4CQ?is=yRxuib4KYe1fE_eh
